I have a passion for helping developers make their condominium and cooperative projects a reality. I assist at every stage of the development lifecycle, from market testing through the sale of individual condominium units and cooperative shares. My work regularly involves drafting, amending, and securing governmental acceptance of offering plans and no action applications.
With nearly two decades of experience drafting complex by-laws, my intricate understanding of the nuances of condo and co-op regimes greatly enhances the counsel I provide to clients. Though I have worked on scores of complex mixed-use development projects, many of which incorporated retail, office, parking, and community facility units, I take particular satisfaction in representing newer developers. I find that my extensive experience, uniquely hands-on approach as well as my longtime relationships with many of the third-party service providers in the field prove highly valuable to a nascent developer.
In addition to representing sponsors, I also represent landlords, tenants, and subtenants in complex leasing transactions with meticulous attention to detail. I also have a wealth of experience guiding clients in bulk purchases of unsold co-op shares and condo units and the preparation of intricate amendments to existing offering plans. Additionally, I counsel condo and co-op boards advising them on a myriad of diverse transactional matters such as refinances of existing mortgages, sales of hallway space, and negotiation of sophisticated access agreements.
Before joining Braverman Greenspun, I handled complex commercial and residential real estate matters at Ganfer Shore Leeds & Zauderer LLP and a predecessor firm. Previously, I practiced at Rosenman & Colin (now Katten Muchin Rosenman).
