I bring nearly two decades of insurance experience as of counsel to Braverman Greenspun advising condominiums, cooperatives, and other clients on insurance-related matters, including the pursuit of complex insurance claims. As a highly trained and experienced mediator, I also assist parties seeking efficient resolutions to insurance-related disputes.
I help condo and co-op boards and other policyholders with a variety of issues touching on the interplay between insurance policies and governing documents. In addition to representing clients in negotiations and litigation over complex insurance claims, I assist clients in securing insurance coverage; analyzing, drafting, or revising governing documents; evaluating complex insurance programs; handling risk-management issues; and engaging with adjusters on catastrophic losses.
My advice is informed by a career in which I have seen insurance issues from a variety of perspectives, including that of insurers. I currently serve as General Counsel to Genatt V Insurance Solutions, an insurance brokerage, where my work is heavily concentrated on condos and co-ops. Previously, I have acted as outside counsel to primary and excess insurance carriers, as well as general counsel and risk manager for a corporate policyholder with more than 100 physical locations.
In my role as mediator, I serve as a panel neutral for the Eastern District of New York, the Suffolk County Commercial Division, and the Nassau County State Supreme Court. My industry certifications include designation as a Chartered Casualty & Property Underwriter (CPCU), in addition to being licensed in New York as a Property & Casualty Broker and General Independent Adjuster.
