I have been practicing law since 1981. In my office, cases are more than just files in a cabinet; they are people who depend on me. I offer up to my clients the benefit of over 40 years of experience – knowing how to fight, when to fight, and when it is time to negotiate your differences.

A substantial portion of my practice involves commercial and residential landlord and tenant litigation. Representing both landlords and tenants, I have deeply immersed myself in this area of law. Preparation for trial and mastery of detail for each case are proud hallmarks of my practice. I have not only written and lectured on the subject I am often the attorney other lawyers turn to when a sophisticated landlord and tenant problem arises.

Complimenting my landlord and tenant litigation practice, I have at the same time worked in the area of commercial leasing, drafting and negotiating a range of leases from small space leases for “Mom and Pop” operations to offices to large space leases for store chains. Having tested most lease provisions in court, I am in a better position than most to know the implications of each lease term and articulate the arguments that can make a difference in lease negotiations.

I also provide full-service representation in all areas of real property transactions. I have extensive experience in the purchase, sale, and refinancing of real property from residential transactions, such as single-family homes, condominium units, and cooperative apartments, to commercial transactions, such as apartment buildings and other commercial structures in the multimillion-dollar category. My experience during multiple swings in the real estate and real estate financing markets in New York City has provided me with an intuitive grasp of how to best serve your real estate needs.

I have been recognized as a Super Lawyer since 2021.
