In litigating on behalf of, and advising clients, I draw on the breadth of experience that I have gathered over the course of my 25-year career, which has involved nearly all aspects of real estate law.
In addition to real estate and commercial litigation in state and federal courts at the trial and appellate levels, my practice has included residential and commercial sales and leasing, bankruptcy, commercial lending, environmental law, and administrative agency representation. This rich and varied experience allows me to have a unique perspective on the matters I work on and a deep understanding of the motivations and interests of each of the parties.
Throughout my career, I have represented co-op and condominium boards, and the interests of unit owners.
I have also served on two co-op boards, including as president, vice president and treasurer. With more than 15 years of board service, I have faced a wide range of issues, including contested elections, construction projects, Local Law 11 inspections, shareholder litigation, admission questions, managing agent transitions, and financing and refinancing transactions. This experience lets me give boards advice that combines legal knowledge with “boots on the ground” perspective.
I have previously practiced with Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C., Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft, Carter, Ledyard and Milburn, and in small firm and solo practice. Prior to my legal career, I was an auditor with Deloitte & Touche. I have been recognized as a Super Lawyer since 2014.
