Scott Greenspun Answers a Shareholder’s Question on Balcony Construction in the New York Times

In last Saturday’s New York Times, a new co-op shareholder wrote in to ask if there was any way to stop their neighbor from building a balcony that would block their view and potentially invade their privacy. Scott Greenspun explained that although there are always guidelines for what homeowners can and cannot do when constructing a balcony, if the balcony in question complies with city rules then there is not much that can be done.
