Braverman Greenspun principal Tracy Peterson has been recognized by Crain’s New York Business as a 2026 Notable Woman in Law. This award honors exceptional female attorneys across the New York City metro area for their professional achievements, leadership, and community impact.
Tracy advocates for cooperatives, condominiums, and individual owners in high-stakes litigation and serves as general counsel to condo and co-op boards. Her practice spans shareholder and owner disputes, election-related matters, defamation claims, and construction defect litigation. After nearly 18 years with the firm, she was elevated to principal in 2025, becoming the first woman to hold that role at Braverman Greenspun. In addition to leading key client relationships, she mentors junior attorneys and plays an integral role in the firm’s continued growth.
Among her notable recent successes, Tracy secured a significant victory in New York State Supreme Court on behalf of the residential board of a mixed-use condominium, obtaining a preliminary injunction that granted the board all the relief it sought in a dispute involving substantial sums allegedly owed to the condominium.
